HAPPY FRIDAY, Pack 178 Parents!

This Sunday (Feburary 11th) will see TWO big events for Pack 178.

Scout Sunday

In the morning, Scout Sunday will be taking place at North Bend United Methodist Church. For those who are interested in participating we will meet at the church (same location for some of our den meetings) at 10:40am. When the boys arrive, have them see one of the den leaders, and they will be given an assignment (greeter, usher, bell ringer, acolyte, etc.). We are also looking for one or two good readers. If interested, John Crego can get the material to you ahead of time so the boys can practice.

Here are the parameters for our loop requirement for our Duty to God and You loop.

1) Help plan, support, or actively participate in a a service of worship or reflection. Show reverence during the service. (If the boys attend Sunday, this will count towards fulfilling this part of the requirement, if not, you may choose to do this on your own with your Scout).

2) Review with your family what you have learned about your duty to God.

3) List one thing that will bring you closer to doing your duty to God, and practice it for one month. Write down what you did each day to remind you.

Since everyone approaches religion differently, you are free to work on this loop with your family how you see fit. If you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to your den leaders.

Blue & Gold Banquet

Sunday evening is our Blue & Gold Banquet. In addition to dinner being provided, we will be presenting advancements to scouts, as well as information for this summer’s Cub Scout camp options (including our Resident Camp at Cub World). We will need volunteers from each den to help set up before dinner (5pm) and help tear down after the event concludes (8-9pm). If you can help, please let your den leaders know.

For those who can’t make it to the banquet, your den leaders will have your scouts’ advancement materials, as well as details for summer camps.

Thanks everyone, and we look forward to seeing you Sunday!
